When my cousin and got married, she wanted a painting from me for her gift. I was very honored by this request and decided to create a portrait of marriage. The center trim in the blue background is trim from the church they got married in. The leaf pattern extending and flowing throughout the piece represents the growth and interweave of each other's lives. The nautilus shell, hive pattern and continuous pattern within the blue reference the Fibonacci sequence, something that I believe is divinely created, like marriage.
