Created for New York City Chef Brandon Cozine. He approached me asking to create a personal, visual identity to better market himself. Inspired by classic French cooking techniques, particularly those of Francis Mallmann, Brandon's cuisine reflects his many years of cooking abroad as well as his love for all things quality. After research and exploring several ideas, my solution was to create a logo that looked like it had been scratched into a very classic and used cutting board- something I could see a seasoned chef doing in a moment of quick spontaneity. Brandon loved this idea, but requested that it have a burned effect instead. This above is the final result.
